The growing star of the latest world is just here. Stepping out from her father's shadow Miley jumped ship to play Young Ruthie on the critically acclaimed Tim Burton movie Big Fish. She then went on to audition for a small Disney role but was passed over because she was considered too short. However they were still interested in her and eventually developed the role of Miley Stewart for her on Hannah Montana.

Destiny Hope Cyrus best known as Miley Cyrus is an American actress singer and songwriter born in November 23 1992 in Nashville Tennessee. She stars as Miley Stewart Hannah Montana in Disney series Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus attended Heritage Middle School but she currently has a private tutor. She is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Cyrus. Miley has an older half sister named Brandi two older half brothers Trace and Christopher Cody a younger brother Braison and a younger sister Noah Lindsey Cyrus who is also an actress.

Destiny Hope kept all the day smiling when she was younger that is the reason for her nickname Miley which comes from Smiley. She has many pets like dogs cats chickens and horses.

Miley had her first TV appearance when she was 9 playing a guest role in her father's TV series Doc. Then in 2003 she worked in Tim Burton's Big Fish. She also appeared in the music video for If Heartaches Have Wings. At the age of 12 Miley was chosen for Hannah Montana due to her energetic and lively performance. She was seen as a person who loves every minute of life with the everyday relatability of Hilary Duff and the stage presence of Shania Twain. Moreover Miley had a cameo in High School Musical 2 where she danced next to the pool.

On October 24 2006 Walt Disney Records released the Hannah Montana Sountrack which includes eight songs she performed as Hannah Montana. In June 26 2007 Miley released a double album called Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus. The first disc was the second Hannah Montana soundtrack while the other one was her debut album. It contains ten songs from which Miley co wrote eight.

Miley is good friends with Mitchell Musso Emily Osment Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.

Hannah Montana went on to be a hit show and launched Miley's recording career with the release of the Hannah Montana Soundtrack. The disc went all the way to number one on the US charts. Miley was in character as Hannah Montana on the soundtrack but she showed the world her true colors on Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus which came out in June 2007!

Within minutes of them going on sale tickets to Miley's Best of Both World Tour had sold out. The only problem? They'd been scooped up by unscrupulous scalpers instead of Miley's fans. With tickets re selling for as much as $2500 per seat Miley has been working with venues to free up more seats to be sold at more reasonable prices. Miley has also told her fans that while the show will be fun it's not worth paying the prices scalpers are charging!

Production on the fourth and final season of Hannah Montana began in January 2010. The year 2010 also saw Miley starring in The Last Song which was released on March 31 2010. The film got bad reviews from the critics but made more than $88 million at the worldwide box office marking the actress' successful transition to more adult roles. The fourth and final season of Hannah Montana began airing on Disney Channel on July 11 2010 and is scheduled to end in 2011.

While performing at the 02 arena in London she changed the lyric in her song Party in the U.S.A from And a Britney (Britney Spears) song was on to And a Michael song was on. Michael being referred to Michael Jackson who was suppose to have performed at the 02 Arena in July of 2009 but passed away before leaving to perform in London.

Miley is good friends with her former Hannah Montana co stars Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso.

Miley Cyrus opened for The Cheetah Girls on 20 dates of their 39 city US tour.

Miley says she's written more than 100 songs some of which have been used on Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus youngest artist ever to have two number one albums within a year.
